Our new hospital will be a world-class facility delivering first-rate care for our patients and the best place to work for our people.

Designed for future generations, it will be a breakthrough building in modern healthcare delivery. Technologically innovative and efficient. Able to adapt swiftly to innovation and change. One of the first fully electric hospitals in the UK with a net zero carbon footprint.

As one of the eight pathfinder hospitals in the government’s New Hospital Programme, ours is an important and high-profile project. We are proud to be part of the biggest hospital building programme in a generation.

#OurNHSBuildings

The East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust will locate a ‘make ready’ hub on our new site, so ambulance service staff can respond to calls more quickly and effectively.

The hub will host specialist staff and facilities to quickly restock, refuel and clean ambulances, getting them back on the road faster and maximising the time which frontline crews can spent with patients. It will also speed up critical journeys back to hospital.
